General Overview Mairan is an avid listener, especially when it comes to learning about new races of people in the universe. She loves to extrapolate similarities and differences between races. This lends her well in her career as a Xenobiologist.
When crew members aren't sure how to relate to other crew who are of different races, she is the best person to chat with.
Hobbies & Interests Mairan's favourite hobby is cooking. She loves acquiring new recipes from other races and/or cultures, and will cook them up for her friends in her quarters when she is off duty.

Personal History Mairan is well-travelled. She was one of the El-Aurian refugees who escaped from the Borg on the SS Robert Fox, and was rescued by the USS Enterprise-B as the SS Robert Fox was destroyed by the Nexus.

Mairan has spent a lot of time on Earth learning about Human culture and history, and travelling around. She has developed close relationships with people in various countries, especially America, Australia, Western Samoa, and South Korea.
Service Record Mairan previously served on the USS Southern Cross as a Xenobiologist. She has also spent time at Starfleet Academy, writing new courses for students in Starfleet Medicine.
Mairan is a graduate of Starfleet Medical Academy. She spent several years studying cross-cultural medicine on Andoria, and was the first pink skin allowed to spend time studying the distinct medical needs of the Aenar. She also interned on Vulcan.
Mairan has intensively studied other telepathic species, notably the Betazoids. She has written a paper on essential medical requirements for telepaths.
